With a total of 37 years in the machining industry, Tony started as a machinist running a manual milling machine for a small job shop. After eleven years experience on Bridgeports, lathes, surface grinders and making special tooling and fixtures, he programmed, set-up and ran machining centers for 2 ½ years.
He progressed to being a member of a design & engineering team, responsible for development of a medical product line. This included prototyping parts, assembly drawings and fixturing.
Most recently his position is that of Mechanical Engineer creating solid models, generating drawings, and determining methods for machining and programming of complex surfaces for CNC machining centers.
He also is a freelance design engineer, helping clients design and develop their product lines, including generating part drawings, assembly drawings, and solid models.
He is familiar or proficient in the following software packages:
AUTOCAD
PRO/ENGINEER
SOLID WORKS
SURFCAM.
